ALIEN es una práctica que he desarrollado a lo largo de los últimos dos años y a través del Master “New Performative Practices” de la SKH Stockholm University of the Arts, que se encuentra en evolución constante. Este trabajo se activa en contextos de investigación artísticos y también toma forma en espacios de exhibición escénicos y no convencionales.

En ALIEN, el cuerpo del performer se reimagina como un organismo ficcional y sensorial: un lenguaje vivo que desarticula nociones de identidad y percepción. Desde una perspectiva posthumana, este solo especula sobre los usos alternativos del cuerpo humano como instrumento, interrogando su propósito inherente y desafiando los paradigmas convencionales del diálogo y la transmisión del mensaje.

Se dice que cuando los astronautas regresan a la Tierra tras haberla contemplado desde la inmensidad, lo real adquiere matices de ficción. El planeta deja de ser una noción abstracta e inasible; mientras el observador se empequeñece, la Tierra se expande, volviéndose abrumadoramente vasta. Las palabras comunes resultan insuficientes, y la conciencia de sí mismo se extiende más allá de sus propios límites.

Es en esta expansión, en este deslizamiento de lo real hacia lo ficcional, donde comienza ALIEN. Esta obra explora los límites de lo humano y su corporeidad: un cuerpo que, como la Tierra vista desde la distancia, se torna irreconocible, una imagen cambiante en la que nos perdemos y nos redescubrimos continuamente. Es un lugar de extrañamiento, resistencia y transformación. Aquí, el cuerpo no solo comunica; deviene un espacio en el que identidad y percepción se suspenden ingrávidos, abriéndose a nuevas potencialidades.

ALIEN is a practice I have developed over the past two years through the Master's program New Performative Practices at SKH Stockholm University of the Arts. It is a constantly evolving work that unfolds in artistic research contexts while also taking shape in both stage-based and non-conventional exhibition spaces.

In ALIEN, the performer’s body is reimagined as a fictional and sensorial organism: a living language that dismantles notions of identity and perception. From a posthuman perspective, this solo piece speculates on alternative uses of the human body as an instrument, questioning its inherent purpose and challenging conventional paradigms of dialogue and message transmission.

It is said that when astronauts return to Earth after witnessing it from the vastness of space, reality takes on shades of fiction. The planet ceases to be an abstract, elusive notion; as the observer grows smaller, the Earth expands, becoming overwhelmingly vast. Common words prove insufficient, and self-awareness stretches beyond its own boundaries.

It is within this expansion, this slippage from the real into the fictional, that ALIEN begins.

This work explores the limits of the human and its corporeality: a body that, like the Earth seen from afar, becomes unrecognizable—a shifting image in which we lose and rediscover ourselves endlessly. It is a place of estrangement, resistance, and transformation. Here, the body does not merely communicate; it becomes a space where identity and perception are suspended in weightlessness, opening up to new potentialities.
