ENTERTAINMENT es una obra que no empieza; interrumpe un orden y un equilibrio para dar paso al show. En este escenario tres seres enrarecidos y afectados, se mueven a sí mismos alimentados por su público y su autoimagen.
Como si el entretenimiento y la meditación se pareciesen, se propone un comentario cruel y tierno sobre la distancia empática. Cuando es grande, como en los cientos de imágenes efímeras que componen un mandala o un perfil de instagram, el personaje sólo es la parte de una parte compuesta de partes. Y únicamente si esta distancia es pequeña, podemos conocer y enfrentar al ser antropomórfico que habita tanto en mi como en el otro.
La obra se despliega en tres capítulos: Primero Mandala, el segundo es un desdoblamiento del primero, un episodio para dos intérpretes titulado Fractal. Y el tercero, Tótem, una metáfora que envuelve a los capítulos anteriores, simbolizando un espacio imaginario fuera de tiempo, localizado entre la mirada del espectador y el cuerpo de los intérpretes.
Este trabajo retoma mis inquietudes sobre la identidad, los estados contemplativos y los espacios fronterizos.

ENTERTAINMENT is a work that does not begin; interrupts an order and balance to give way to the show. In this scenario, three rarefied and affected beings move themselves, fed by their audience and their self-image.
As if entertainment and meditation were alike, a cruel and tender comment on empathic distance is proposed. When it is large, as in the hundreds of ephemeral images that make up a mandala or an instagram profile, the character is only part of a part made up of parts. And only if this distance is small, we can know and face the anthropomorphic being that lives both in me and in the other.
The work unfolds in three chapters: First Mandala, the second is a unfolding of the first, an episode for two performers entitled Fractal. And the third, Totem, a metaphor that surrounds the previous chapters, symbolizing an imaginary space out of time, located between the viewer's gaze and the body of the performers.
This work takes up my concerns about identity, contemplative states and border spaces.
